Extra virgin olive oil from the south of Italy

Hirpus is the registered trade mark of azienda agricola michele minieri, established in 1996. We produce high quality extra virgin olive oil in a small micro-climatic area of campania (carife: Altitude +600 MT. Above sea level; near avelllino; south-east of campania in southern italy). Our trees grow on the southern slopes of the 1000m hill that marks the divide between mountainous inland campania, and the long descent to the plains of puglia. At an altitude of 750 M, the village dominates the ufita river. Well protected from the wind, it was originally settled by the indigenous samnite population 3.000 years ago. Most of our land is not irrigated, and we therefore grow crops that do not require watering: Olive, cherry tomatoes, garlic, oregano, and camomile are our main products.

We began farming in 1995, and have planted over 1000 olive trees since then, on patches of soil that had not been cultivated for over 50 years, and had therefore never been treated with chemicals and seemed perfect for organic farming.
We do use manure as well as some organic pellet fertilizer. OEM Service:
